A benign tumor in the salivary glands called the pleomorphic adenoma actually looks like a small solid and painless substance. These small tumors seldom become malignant which are also called the carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma, but eventually grow at a fast pace often causing pain and threatening one’s life. Therefore, treating the benign adenoma is necessary if one wants to avoid the stage of malignancy.
